This Privacy & Security Policy explains how Home Money Manager Pty Ltd ATF HMM Trust ACN 129 705 406 trading as Home Money Manager ABN 32 984 975 651 (referred to as "MoneyFormula", "Home Money Manager", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, stores, protects, and discloses your personal information when you use our MoneyFormula web and mobile applications and associated services (collectively, "the Service").

Your privacy and the security of your data are paramount to us and this policy outlines our commitment to transparency and responsible data handling.

1. Our Commitment to Your Privacy

We know that your privacy and security are very important to you. This policy outlines how we deal with your personal information and the measures we take to protect it.

In summary, we do not rent, sell, or distribute your personal information to anyone outside of Home Money Manager and its trusted third-party service providers who are essential for providing and improving our Service, unless required by law or with your explicit consent.

We collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for us to provide our Service and to fulfil our functions and activities, while avoiding collecting or requesting unnecessary personal details.

2.1 Information You Provide Directly: To enable core functionality and account management, we collect the following information you provide directly:

Account Creation: To create a MoneyFormula account, you will need a username (which is a valid email address) and password.

Account Management: As part of your account management, you will also be required to enter your first name and surname when you are ready to enter your data.

Optional Financial Data: All other financial information you enter into the MoneyFormula App (such as income, expenses, assets, debts and budgets) is optional depending on how you choose to use the product and which features you are interested in using.

Order Information: When you purchase a subscription or top-up, we collect order and contact information (like the product you are ordering and your email address) to process your order and send you order related information.


2.2 Information We DO NOT Collect: The MoneyFormula app is designed NOT to collect, request or store certain types of sensitive or unnecessary information.

We DO NOT collect, request or store any of your bank login or passwords details, or any other of your third party access credentials.

We DO NOT collect, request or store any credit card or direct payment information you supply when making a purchase; instead, we rely on trusted third-party payment processors to complete the transaction (such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Stripe, etc.).

We DO NOT collect, request or store any of your Australian 100-point personal identifiable documents, including driver's license details, medicare card, birth certificate or passport information.

We DO NOT collect, request or store any of the following types of information: Location data, Health and Fitness data, Messages (emails / SMS / chat logs / etc.), Photos and Videos, Audio Files, General Files and Documents, Calendar information, Contact lists and Other personal details not explicitly requested for account creation or service use.


2.3 Information Collected Automatically (Usage Data): When you access or use MoneyFormula, we may automatically collect certain information about your device and usage patterns. This information helps us operate, maintain, and improve the Service. This may include:

Server Logs: We maintain automatic server logs of activity on our site and app. This information may include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, device type, operating system, pages visited, access times, and referring website addresses.

Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the MoneyFormula app, such as features used, time spent and performance data.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies: We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect information about your usage of our website and/or app. This helps us understand user behaviour, maintain user sessions and improve your experience. 3. How We Use Your Information

3.1 Usage: We use the personal information we collect for the following primary purposes.

To Provide and Maintain the Service: To operate MoneyFormula, personalise your experience, process orders and payments, and deliver the features and functionality you expect.

To Respond to Your Inquiries: To communicate with you and provide customer support, technical assistance, and respond to your requests.

To Improve Our Service: To understand how users interact with MoneyFormula, perform data analysis, research, and development to enhance our app's performance, features, and user experience.

For Security and Fraud Prevention: To protect MoneyFormula and our users from fraud, security threats, and other harmful activities.

We do not rent, sell, or distribute your personal information to anyone outside of Home Money Manager, except in the following circumstances.

4.1. Third-Party Service Providers: We may share your information with trusted third-party service providers who perform functions on our behalf and assist us in providing our Service. These include, but are not limited to:

Cloud Hosting Providers: Such as AWS and Google Cloud, when they host our servers and store our data.

Payment Processors: Such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and Stripe, when they process your subscription or top-up payment.

Analytics Providers: To help us understand how the Service is used and to improve it.

Email Service Provider: To manage and respond to your inquiries via email.

We carefully select these trusted third parties. They are contractually obligated to protect your personal information and to use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them, in accordance with their own privacy policies and all applicable laws.

Encryption: All data entered and collected in the MoneyFormula web and mobile apps is encrypted in transit using SSL/TLS 1.2+ and encrypted at rest using AES-256.

Server Location: Our cloud hosted servers are located within Australia.

Cloud Hosting Provider Security: Our cloud hosting provider is a leading provider in Australia and adheres to stringent cybersecurity standards and certifications, including ISO/IEC 27001:2022, 27017:2015, 27018:2019, 27701:2019, 22301:2019, 20000-1:2018, 9001:2015 and CSA STAR CCM v4.0.

They also maintain a PROTECTED certification under the Australian Cyber Security Centre's (ACSC) Information Security Registered Assessors Program (IRAP), allowing them to handle sensitive classified government data.

Mobile App Security: The MoneyFormula mobile apps available from the Apple App Store and Google Play use the latest versions of the iOS and Android security frameworks in compliance with the respective stores' guidelines.

Web App Security: The MoneyFormula web app is designed to work on the latest web browsers, allowing you to run the app in the most up-to-date and secure environment available.

Internal Access Controls: All administration access is protected by two-factor authentication and access to your personal information within Home Money Manager is restricted to those who need to know that information to perform their job functions.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

6.1 Data Retention: Home Money Manager retains your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this policy, to provide the Service, and to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. This may include retaining data for audit purposes, dispute resolution, or to enforce our agreements.


6.2 Deleting Your Account: If you have a MoneyFormula account and you no longer need it, you can request to have the account deleted from within the MoneyFormula app. Navigate to the Help / Support section and under Support, select the "Delete My Account" option.

WARNING: This option will delete your access across all of your devices and you will no longer be able to use MoneyFormula!

When you delete your MoneyFormula account, we will take steps to delete or de-identify your personal information in accordance with our data retention policy and applicable legal obligations. Please be aware that some data may be retained for a period necessary to fulfil legal, audit and backup purposes, or where required by law, before full deletion.

7. International Data Transfers

While all primary data within the MoneyFormula app is stored on servers located within Australian, some of our third party providers are global organisations and your personal information may be disclosed to, and stored or processed by, recipients located outside of Australia. This includes, but is not limited to the following.

Cloud Hosting Providers: While our primary servers are located within Australia (e.g., via Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud), their global operations may involve their support or engineering teams located in other countries accessing data for technical support or maintenance purposes.

Payment Processors: When you make a purchase, your payment information is processed by third-party payment gateways (e.g., Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal) whose systems and operations are global and may involve data processing outside Australia.

Other Service Providers: We may use other service providers and hosting platforms (e.g. for email delivery, log analytics, etc.) who may store or process data outside of Australia.

By using the Service, you consent to the disclosure of your personal information to overseas recipients in accordance with this policy.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have certain rights regarding your personal information.

Access: You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you.

Correction: You have the right to request that we correct any inaccurate, incomplete, or out-of-date personal information we hold about you.

However, in most cases, due to the nature of a financial management service requiring account creation and the collection of certain personal and financial data for functionality, it may not be practicable to deal with you anonymously or pseudonymously.

MoneyFormula may include links to other third-party websites. Such links are not an endorsement by MoneyFormula of those websites and/or the products or services they offer. Third-party websites may have different privacy policies and Home Money Manager is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party websites. 11. Children's Privacy

The MoneyFormula app is not intended for children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 16 without verifiable parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers.

This Privacy & Security Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. We will notify you of any major updates to this Privacy & Security Policy via notification within the MoneyFormula app or by email to your registered address or . We encourage you to review this policy periodically for any changes. Your continued use of MoneyFormula after such notification constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
